If you’re researching clean beauty ingredients to avoid, you’ve probably seen brands throwing around big numbers like “2,700 ingredients banned.” We decided to take a more honest approach.
At Yung Skincare, we believe real transparency builds better trust. We don’t claim to ban thousands of ingredients most brands never use. Instead, we focus on meaningfully avoiding the most concerning ones while creating effective, beautiful formulas while still holding clean.

Ingredients We Never Use
1. Parabens
All parabens (methylparaben, ethylparaben, propylparaben, butylparaben, etc.)
2. Phthalates & Hormone Disruptors
All phthalates, resorcinol, and chemical sunscreen filters like oxybenzone and octinoxate.
3. Sulfates & Harsh Surfactants
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES), and other harsh sulfates.
4. Petroleum-Derived Ingredients
Mineral oil, petrolatum, paraffin, and petroleum jelly.
5. Nanoparticles
Nano titanium dioxide, nano zinc oxide, and other nanoparticles.
6. Synthetic Fragrance
Undisclosed “fragrance” or “parfum”.
7. Forever Chemicals (PFAS)
All PFAS and per/polyfluoroalkyl substances.
8. Other High-Concern Ingredients
Hydroquinone, coal tar, toluene, p-phenylenediamine, and unsustainable palm derivatives where we have better options.
Our no-list is inspired by the broadest clean beauty standards (which can total over 2,700 entries when including all synonyms). We are proudly paraben-free, phthalate-free, sulfate-free, and PFAS-free.
